SEASONS IN THE WORKS OF GAM

SPRING

Spring is the intermediate season during which the climate is pleasant, the days are sunny and the flowers and vegetation have bright colours.

Ettore De Maria Bergler, Taormina, 1907, oil on canvas

We find the awakening of nature and all its colors in the work of Ettore de Maria Bergler, Taormina, in which the snow-capped peak of Etna stands out in the background and a benevolent and radiant nature, which descends to the sea, envelops the city of Taormina, of which a series of houses can be glimpsed. There is no shortage of almond trees in bloom, a symbol of this season in much of the island, portrayed in the lower part of the picture.
