There are numerous female figures that populate the permanent exhibition halls of the Gallery, which allow you to take a journey not only in the history of art, but also in social history, the models to which the collective imagination of women was based both in ‘nineteenth century and in the twentieth century. These are two centuries in which there were great changes in the perception of women and the new role that was taking shape in society. In fact, the woman begins to affirm her autonomy, to convey her own representation also through the “filter” of the eye and the brush of the artists.
